Job Description

The Manager, Marketing Execution and Email Management is responsible for the design, quality assurance (QA), execution, maintenance, and reporting for automated marketing programs and email distribution within the marketing automation platform. This position is a contact for the Acquisition and Retention Marketing Strategy teams providing operational support in the development and execution of multi-channel, multi-touch, and nurturing campaigns to enable significant demand generation pipeline expansion and accelerated revenue growth.


•                Supports the Acquisition and Retention Marketing Team throughout the planning and execution of marketing efforts using Salesforce Marketing Cloud (Exact Target) multi-channel Campaign Management capabilities;

•                Builds and delivers integrated marketing campaigns and activities according to business priorities and go-to-market plans within Salesforce Marketing Cloud platform;

•                Works with teams to translate marketing requirements into functional campaigns within marketing automation and customer relationships management (CRM) systems;

•                Continuously analyzes operational process to find and recommend and implement new efficiencies and drive results;

•                Maintains best practices in campaign execution and socializes across departments;

•                Develops, implements, and reports on marketing automation test plans in partnership with stakeholders as needed

•                Provides strategic direction on segmentation business rules, executes and optimizes audience segmentation for campaigns within the marketing platform, based on contact attributes and digital behaviors;

•                Creates emails, forms, landing pages and reports within the marketing application, including templates for use by others within the marketing function; identifies ways to report entire customer funnel in partnership with analytics team;

•                Optimizes email deliverability, maintains positive e-mail reputation and health and reports on progress;

•                Maintains relationships and contracts with vendors as needed;

•                Documents campaign execution processes, programs and procedures; Identifies process efficiencies and data sharing across departments;

•                Monitors and reports on effectiveness metrics related to tactics and programs managed by the marketing platform and related applications from lead to enrollment and retention across department.


•                Assists in the technical conceptualization, implementation and quality assurance of demand creation, nurturing strategies;

•                Provides input in to nurturing to support the marketing organization and implements/maintains as necessary;

•                Maintains data validity and recommends ways to clean data



•                Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or related field AND

•                Five (5-7) years of marketing experience with emphasis on marketing automation and lead generation activities 

•                Two (2) years of experience with setup and execution of multi-channel, multi-touch marketing automation-based campaigns using an automatic platform AND

•                Equivalent combination of education and experience




•                Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio; Web proficiency).

•                Experience working with business owners in defining campaign requirements

•                Intermediate HTML knowledge

•                Advanced experience creating emails and reports within an automated marketing platform application and creating simple reports

•                Strong data evaluation skills, with the ability to extract and interpret data from various sources to offer creative marketing solutions and business decisions

•                Strong project management capabilities, including the ability to accurately specify project timeframes, dependencies and risk factors

•                Ability to work effectively with people, to gain internal respect and build consensus with superiors and peers

•                Strong and insightful operational skills with the ability to present marketing results to internal clients

•                Strong oral/written presentation skills

•                Ability to execute quickly and with high-quality while handling multiple tasks in a fast- paced environment requiring project prioritization

•                Ability to work both independently and in a team environment

•                Ability to adapt to changing environments and priorities

•                Computer Software:  Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint; Web proficiency, CRM

software, E-mail distribution programs,






•                Experience with multiple franchise like brands

•                Experience with regional campaign execution

•                Knowledge of Salesforce Marketing Cloud

  • Some knowledge of Ampscript
