Job Description

A skilled storyteller, our Copywriter works collaboratively to transform great ideas into engaging content by solving for briefs in ever-increasingly creative and effective ways. They produce persuasive and relevant messaging for a wide range of mediums from digital to social to print. With an obsession for detail, the Copywriter is a quick thinker with an unrivaled way with words.

Requirements:

  • Interprets Creative Briefs in collaboration with Strategist, Creative Lead, and Account Lead
  • Maintains an expert knowledge of brand guidelines and in market creative for assigned clients
  • Effectively contributes in meetings; confidently presenting ideas
  • Interprets and applies feedback in ways that are aligned with creative direction and strategy
  • Occasionally proofreads creative to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to brand standards
  • Pitches concepts and copy to creative management, internal team, and clients
  • Collaborates with Strategist and Account Leads to help achieve strategic goals through copy
  • Works with Creative Resource Manager and Design Director to manage workflow
  • Responsible for daily tasking, adhering to hours allocation, and seamlessly transitioning between projects to meet quickturn requests without compromising quality
  • Identifies and contributes fresh ideas by keeping a pulse on advertising trends—leveraging best practices, new technologies, and tactics
  • Occasional travel to other Havas villages and client locations may be required

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience
  • 2-3+ years of copywriting/proofreading experience within an agency; digital preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software, particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Solid understanding of advertising and marketing principles
  • Conceptual thinker with a breadth of digital media knowledge
  • No-task-is-too-small attitude
  • Adaptable voice and ability to adhere to multiple sets of brand standards
  • Adept at interpreting data learnings and applying them to copy in natural and creative ways
  • Team oriented and thrives in a collaborative environment
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
  • Hawk-eye like proofreading abilities and eye for detail regardless of project size
  • Ability to present confidently and persuasively
  • A healthy respect for character limits
