Job Description

Our client, a service management SAAS provider, is looking for a creative, versatile, and UX-focused writer with experience in product content strategy to join their HR Service Management team. In this role you will help shape experiences that transform complex information into easy-to-use designs and content. You'll be the key person taking the lead on copywriting for a set of new product initiatives and bringing the product vision to life in the details of the product content. You're an upbeat champion for the customer and their needs, wants, and challenges with a passion for the employee experience.

Client Description:

About the Team
They are a Product Management team in the company's HR Service Management business unit that is responsible for its out-of-box content. Their team is made up of only a handful of people, so your role matters a lot. They work hand-in-hand with their peers to design and build the company's market-leading products for their customers' HR teams and employees.

This HR Service Management product offering streamlines the interaction between employees and HR and drives HR Service Delivery transformation by:

  • Enabling easy access to information and engaging content for a modern employee experience
  • Providing effective and efficient means of managing and fulfilling employee requests, thus boosting productivity, and
  • Helping HR teams leverage insights to continually optimize and improve operations and service levels


In order to be successful in this role, we need someone who:

  • Has 5+ years' experience thinking strategically about content and implementing it across a variety of platforms and channels, with a specific focus on in-product language
  • An uncanny ability to create an engaging story across the full end-to-end of an employee journey through storytelling to help facilitate and inform the entire employee experience experience.
  • Provides a portfolio with solid writing samples of different types and lengths such as: UI/UX elements, editorial, email, and mobile app content, including microcopy and notifications
  • Delivers brief, persuasive, on-task text that keeps users engaged and reduces confusion
  • Balances effective copy that drives engagement with user empathy and a human touch
  • Can navigate content issues relating to localization, accessibility, inclusion, policy, and privacy
  • Cares about frameworks that ensure copy has a purpose and is applied consistently across touch points
  • Knows how to take a step back from the copywriting and think about the employee experience
  • Thinks holistically about product and UX; delivers cohesion of context, insights, design, words, system of nomenclature, IA decisions in partnership with UX/Design
  • Collaborates effectively with designers and product managers all the way through the product design process
  • Has understanding and ability to work in an agile product management environment; writing stories, grooming with developers, managing sprints, etc.; 
  • Communicates with impact and clarity, both in writing, virtually, and in person
  • Works well both independently and cross-functionally on product/tech teams
  • Can manage multiple projects at once and under time constraints
  • Aims for greatness, but can balance that with the need to work quickly and efficiently
  • Brings energy, curiosity, independence, humility, and a sense of humor to the office every day

Ideally, the candidate would also have:

  • Experience specific to Human Resources or Employee Experience organizations 
  • Familiarity in writing product content used by Enterprise SaaS customers
  • Comfortable creating and iterating on copy for product tests
