Job Description

Our client is seeking a Cvent Implementation Specialist.​ This candidate will be responsible for event technology strategy and implementations. He or she will work closely with planners, vendors and others to manage technology-related project details throughout the life-cycle of an event and with the business to ensure processes meets their needs.

As part of this effort, this position is responsible for leading, developing, and managing the deployment and global roll-out of Cvent’s Strategic Meetings Management Program (SMMP), inclusive of the meeting request and approval process, meetings and events policy, financial management, attendee management, integration with Salesforce, and single event, cross-event, and SMMP-centric reporting and analytics across all regions of the organization. Responsibilities will include process development for the new platform, including operations, analysis of event data, design and build of event registration websites, mobile apps, and other event-related technologies, budget maintenance, and expense reporting. Candidates should have a comprehensive understanding of event organization, data collection, and reporting required for all events.

 

Role Responsibilities:

  • ●  ​Creating a global roll-out strategy for SMMP throughout all geographies of the organization, working with Global Events and local marketers.

  • ●  Assess current usage of registration websites throughout all global regions.

  • ●  Connect with global and regional marketing managers to determine which systems are being used to build registration websites and report on status updates.

  • ●  Develop a company-wide communication, timeline, and deployment plan to transition all registration websites to Cvent.

  • ●  Drive global adoption and ensure planners and regional marketing managers are using Cvent.

  • ●  Working with vendors or other team members,create a training program to roll-out and educate internal colleagues on Cvent and implement in all global regions.

  • ●  Weekly analyses of Cvent registration websites to ensure all sites are built to brand standards.

  • ●  Liaison between Cvent, IT, and all operating companies.

  • ●  Set a process for building, maintaining, and providing daily maintenance of registration websites for Global Events team.

  • ●  Optimize business process / workflow automation of Cvent and CrowdCompass, system integrations, new account applications, and identifying opportunities to make better use of existing feature sets to minimize redundant processes and manual data entry.

  • ●  Work with business leaders and event planners to identify business requirements and propose processes to collect data for meeting registration and options for event technologies such as mobile app, polling, AI tools, etc.

  • ●  Introduce new platforms and share ideas to be at the cutting edge of the latest meeting technologies.

  • ●  Work with Global Director of Events to develop long-term strategy for event technology operations.

    Qualifications
  • ●  5+ years deep experience with event, technology and operations.

  • ●  Advanced proficiency of Cvent platform.

  • ●  Understanding of SMMP concepts and principles.

  • ●  Experience implementing and deploying a SMMP.

  • ●  Agile and proven project management skills.

  • ●  Advanced knowledge of Excel and must be skilled in formatting worksheets and charts, creating pivot tables and formulas, data cleaning and manipulation, find & replace, filter & sort, removing duplicates, conditional formatting, macros, etc.

  • ●  Advanced knowledge the RFP process and hotel / vendor contracts and negotiations.

  • ●  Proven analytical and data decision-making capabilities.

  • ●  Ability to think strategically and execute methodically.

  • ●  Performs well in a highly dynamic, geographically diverse, and rapidly changing environment.

  • ●  Previous experience at a professional services organization and/or working with global events a plus.

  • ●  Proficient in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, and Word).

  • ●  Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
