Job Description

Our client, a globally recognized leadership development training company based in Seattle, WA is looking to add a Content Marketing Specialist to their team.The right candidate will have 3-5 years experience creating both long and short form marketing content, be upbeat, highly organized, dependable, flexible, self-disciplined, eager to learn, and confident in their multi-tasking abilities. In order to be considered, you must have an online portfolio showcasing both short and long form marketing copy. 

The candidate will be responsible for the following:

  • Execute on the content marketing strategy by producing clear and compelling content for white papers, blog posts, eBooks, video scripts, website landing page copy, digital advertisements, client case studies, infographics, social media posts and email campaigns.
  • Host content source interviews with subject matter experts to position and promote these individuals as thought leaders in the industry.
  • Ensure all content aligns with the content marketing strategy and complies with standards of quality - assuring proper tone, messaging, and effectiveness.
  • Distribute content across digital channels, including website, email distribution, and social media.
  • Work closely marketing leaders to further evolve core brand messaging, understand content needs, explore opportunities to improve existing content, and effectively prioritize ongoing and incoming projects.
  • Build, implement, and maintain editorial calendar utilized by marketing leaders.
  • Work with PR to effectively tell industry specific stories in key publications.
  • Help manage the company’s social media profiles and presence.
  • Proofread all marketing materials to ensure correct grammar and brand consistency.
  • Identify and assess latest content marketing trends. Stay current with industry best practices, including content marketing within our target markets.

Skills and Experience

  • Minimum of 3-5 years in copywriting and marketing.
  • B.A. in journalism, communications, creative writing, or related field experience.
  • Must be passionate about writing, creation, and storytelling.
  • Outstanding writing, editing, and proofreading skills. Must have online portfolio of work samples
  • Ability to manage multiple requests and content priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Working familiarity with AP writing style preferred.
  • Enjoy working on a team where you can learn, grow, and help others to do the same.
  • Strong communicator, and a better listener.
  • Detail oriented, assertive, and thoughtful.
  • Motivated by making a positive impact on people’s lives.
  • Experience in email marketing.
  • Experience with website content management systems, Adobe Creative Suite and/or social media management platforms a plus.
