Job Description

 

The multimedia designer is an integral component of the curriculum development team reporting to the Curriculum Manager. Multimedia designers work collaboratively with instructional designers, content experts, program chairs, Curriculum Managers, and other stakeholders to ensure courses are built and produced to standard, meeting or exceeding the goals of the revision, and on time. Multimedia designers work with course development stakeholders to create an engaging and outcome-focused learning environment while ensuring all courses adhere to institution-specific standards and guidelines within Our Client's learning management systems (LMS). 

Job Duties/Performance Objectives: 

  • Serve as a member of a course development team participating in all meetings related to the goals and expectations of the course 
  • Complete new course and course revision production in the learning management system and effectively integrate and/or use third party tools and systems. 
  • Execute institutional projects and initiatives through development software and tools, as well as in the learning management system. 
  • Provide support and guidance to instructional designers, content experts, and program coordinators in the development and production of multiple online higher education courses, including course builds, interactives, activities, and assessment instruments. 
  • Assist in the development and coordination of course schedules and project plans. 
  • Build multiple course shells and frameworks in the learning management system as the development and production schedules dictate.

Experience & Education Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in multimedia design, instructional design, and/or educational technology 
  • At least two years of relevant work experience in the design, development, and delivery of online course materials and education programs.
