Job Description

Exciting new full-time career opportunity with a growing client in San Diego looking for a Project Manager. This position offers a competitive salary, excellent benefits, and a great working environment. The Project Manager oversees the efficient management of projects’ workflow, finances, and resources of an assigned account and aligns with Client Services on the overall project scope and timeline. 


Essential responsibilities:

Project workflow:

  • Creates and manages time lines (individually and holistically, daily and big picture)
  • Oversees and manages the workflow of all assigned projects 
  • Manages and ensures server maintenance for assigned projects/brands

Interdepartmental communication:

  • As internal leader, ensures all team members understand roles and responsibilities while working together smoothly and effectively
  • Communicates timing, logistics, and production changes to team
  • Develops and maintains internal status reports
  • Conducts and orchestrates weekly agency status meetings
  • Creates content for daily hot sheets
  • Realigns resources throughout the week to accommodate workloads while maximizing project profitability
  • Manages external vendors included in the production of projects
  • Assists in process development/refinement as needed

Scope & financial management:

  • Initiates, creates, and manages project budgets inclusive of obtaining team input/approvals and entering into their time reporting system
  • Provides weekly budget tracking reports and assists in reconciliation of projects, notifying team of out-of-scope items
  • Provides input for Client Contact Reports and summarizes next steps for client interactions
  • Works within and manages to assigned and budgeted labor hours by job and position level, to ensure minimum standards of job profitability


  • At least one year of Project Management experience (including interactive) in advertising agency environment
  • Budgeting, financial tracking, and resourcing experience
  • Pharmaceutical experience is preferred; product launch experience is a plus
  • Excellent attention to detail; strong time management, organizational, and project management skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint),
  • Workfront Proof/ProofHQ, and Entrada/Workamajig proficiency is a plus
  • Excellent communication, writing, and presentation skills
  • Proactive, self-motivated, flexible, and, solution-oriented; responds well under pressure  and is able to multi-task
  • High energy, positive, creativity, and resourceful, with an entrepreneurial spirit
  • Ability to work in a team environment and to lead/motivate team members
  • Comprehensive, strategic, and systematic thinker
  • Demonstrates a sense of urgency to obtain results
  • Has strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills
  • Four-year college degree or equivalent work experience
