Job Description

We have an agency client looking for a full-time UX/UI Designer to work on-site in San Diego. This is a temp to perm opportunity- Job purpose The UX/UI Designer concepts and executes digital experiences that are both effortless for users and drive results for our clients. He/she will be responsible for communicating complex interactive design ideas and articulating his/her vision clearly and concisely. As a part of the Digital Production team, the UX/UI designer will part of a tight-knit crew that values strong problem-solving skills, a business mindset, independent self-direction, and an openness to giving and receiving constructive feedback. Duties and responsibilities The UX/UI Designer will: • Be a leader in the digital creative space and ideate with team members to develop interactive campaign solutions • Clearly communicate and articulate his/her creative vision to audiences with varying levels of digital experience • Analyze website analytics data and competitor websites to produce solutions that deliver results for our clients • Build wireframes, design mockups, prototypes, and presentations across all viewports • Simplify complex ideas into intuitive user experiences for consumer-facing applications, websites, and VR experiences • Develop thorough documentation and asset kits to handoff designs to the development team • Lead the design quality assurance process to ensure that every last detail is correct • Understand the capabilities and limitations of HTML, CSS, JavaScript in responsive design but know when to break the rules • Perform other job duties as assigned This individual is: • A seasoned designer who is an expert with design tools, most notably Sketch, Illustrator, Photoshop, InVision and/or other UX & prototyping software • Self-starter who can execute on an idea with limited direction and process in place • Clear and confident communicator with an affinity for visual storytelling and concepting • Team player that is excited by the opportunity to lead, but knows when it’s appropriate to follow Qualifications 3+ years agency experience 5+ years interaction design experience Bonus points if you have experience working within accessibility compliance standards and have conducted user testing. Working conditions Open office environment with standard foot traffic and on occasion beautiful music. Physical requirements • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
