Vitamin T is working with a client outside of San Antonio Texas specializing in luxury and retail that is looking for a Photographer to join their team! This person will work independently and will collaborate with stakeholders in styling and photographing products for use in print and digital marketing. They will support the marketing, retail, and operational needs of the company while while working collaboratively with the Senior Photographer, Art Director, or Creative Director.

Responsibilities:

  • Photograph still life using digital view-camera systems and DSLRs
  • Work independently and take initiative in developing, presenting, and producing conceptual solutions to the Senior Photographer, Art Director, Creative Director, peers, stakeholders and internal customers.
  • Digital image editing, retouching, color balancing and enhancement of product suitable for print and digital applications.
  • Continuously explore composition, lighting methods and photographic techniques to creatively enhance the presentation of images used to market the product.
  • Collaboration in all phases of the styling and photography of product with Senior Photographer, Art Director, Creative Director and Designers.
  • Take the initiative to review solutions with appropriate parties and make necessary changes with a spirit of collaboration and cooperation.
  • Consistently produce solutions with content accuracy, attention to detail, and thoroughness.
  • Maintain photo studio equipment and software for optimum performance.
  • Maintain photo studio in a clean, uncluttered, and organized environment; allowing flexibility and mobility of work areas and sets that can be easily be rearranged, broken down and reassembled on a need-by basis.
  • Evaluate the success or failure of the solution and record for future recommendations.
  • Guide and teach photographic techniques, processes, and improvements to studio personnel.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Photography and 1-3+ years of professional experience as an in-house or independent studio photographer specializing in still life product and lifestyle product photography for high-end product print and digital applications. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be accepted in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree.
  • Demonstrated excellence and professional experience operating studio lighting equipment (multiple strobe lighting).
  • Professional experience operating digital capture hardware/software (Phase One View camera, DLSR cameras, Capture One, or CaptureShot/Sinarback or equivalent).
  • Demonstrated excellence in digital image editing and enhancement skills, including but not limited to: outlining and masking, retouching, and color correction.
  • Comprehensive knowledge, fluency and demonstrated, professional experience in the following with the current version of following Adobe programs: Photoshop, LightRoom, Bridge and Acrobat Professional
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with art directors, supervisors, peers and clients for successful completion of projects.
  • Understanding of project budgeting.
  • Ability to travel and work evenings and weekends when necessary.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously and manage frequent interruptions.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
  • Strong problem solving skills, and the ability to quickly learn new technology.
