Job Description

Our client, a leader in big pharma marketing, is seeking a Media Strategist to join their team on an ongoing freelance basis.  The media strategist plays an important role in the development of communication efforts to reach and engage patients and health care professionals both online and offline. This role is responsible for designing omni-channel, targeted media strategies and for executing the approved media plans. The ideal candidate will collaborate directly with internal and external stakeholders to ensure all media plans are strategically on target and managed efficiently. 


Responsibilities: 

Working with client strategy, design multichannel plans across print and digital to effectively reach patients and HCPs 
Construct the strategic foundation for media plan development and ensure consistency across all channels 
Define channel plan and mix strategy 
Work with data science team to analyze and report on media performance to make recommendations for optimal ROI 
Identify paid partnerships, sponsorships and affiliate marketing tactics 
Manage media partners 
Track and report on media spend and budgeting and optimize campaigns month to month 
Design content strategy per campaign including link strategy, articles placements 
Oversee link building and outreach efforts to support content promotion and authority building 
Build strong relationships across all clients and partner agencies 
Develop media briefs 
Supervise the execution of all media buys 
Translate client goals and KPIs into successful media strategies 
Ensure consistency of communications across all media tactics 
Confidently present media strategy and performance to clients 


Experience: 

5-8 years creating media strategies and managing execution of media activities across all channels 
Experience in applying clinical data to targeting efforts 
Demonstrated success in media strategy development 
Experience in pharma marketing and media planning required 
Expert knowledge of DoubleClick Campaign Manager (DCM Ad Server), AdWords, Google Analytics and Realtime bidding platforms 
Experience in applying machine learning and AI to targeting and optimization 
Polished presenting skills are a must
