Job Description

A higher education company that offers test preparation, private tests and private tutoring is seeking a Copywriter to join their team!

  • This is a temp-to-perm role!
  • Will sit onsite in their NYC location in Midtown East

As part of a dynamic, in-house marketing team, we are looking for a highly creative copywriter with multi-channel experience writing for a variety of audiences. The chosen candidate will work alongside our Senior Copywriter on the development and execution of integrated marketing campaigns as well as the development of content. The position will be responsible for developing concepts, writing marketing copy and turning strategy into bold, compelling tactics intended to engage, attract prospects across all marketing channels.  

As the Copywriter you will:

  • Collaborate with internal teams and business unit stakeholders to understand business objectives, insight driven strategies and audience demographics

  • Create sophisticated multi-channel communication including email, landing pages, banner ads, and social  

  • Increase audience engagement by creating dynamic content including product pages, guides and infographics

  • Manage projects from concept to completion, exercising quality control on all copy, including obtaining approvals, fact-checking and editing/proofreading

  • Help ensure all marketing communications maintain a high level of quality, featuring a consistent tone and style to support and reinforce the brand

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in English, journalism, communications or related field

  • Current knowledge of the latest marketing and digital trends and technologies

  • Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively as a member of a fast-paced, dynamic marketing team and forge strong working relationships across departments

  • Ability to develop fresh, engaging and well-structured headlines, body copy and calls to action

  • Strong editing and proofreading skills a must; impeccable spelling, grammar, punctuation

  • Understands direct marketing principles and how copy drives response rates and comfortable with writing subject line, offer and audience tests

  • Proficiency in MS Office and other applications commonly used in business environments

  • 3+ years of consumer marketing and copywriting experience
