Job Description

We are seeking a solid Project Manager who has experience overseeing schedules, budgets, resources and deliverables for projects. We need this person to come in and get up to speed quickly, our client has a big conference coming up in October with a phased rebrand happening simultaneously. We're looking for someone who can come in, assess the deadline and create a project plan to keep the team on pace to complete the work on time. 

In this role, you will be the glue that keeps everything and everyone together! You will monitor productivity to ensure that goals and objectives are being met. Knowledge of larger landscape without neglecting granular details while tracking project health, staying alert for risk and resolving issues as they arise. Maintains standards and monitors scope with project quality. Ideal candidate has some experience with (large) event planning -- and/or working with/coordinating with external event agency for planning. 

Responsibilities

  • Oversees strategic plan, monitoring and adapting as needed
  • Maintains project objectives
  • Monitors production and quality to customer/stakeholder/sponsor standards
  • Reports on project progress, offers viable solutions and opportunities as they arise
  • Implements change practices
  • Lead meetings and set expectations for project team
  • Maintain budget
  • Reporting on projects and portfolios

Competencies 

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 4-7+ years experience in project management
  • - Strong experience managing events, creative projects (experience with rebrandings would be great), and digital work. 
  • Ability to interface confidently with senior level management to manage expectations, report on progress, discuss challenges and troubleshoot solutions 
  • Have the flexibility to change directions if needed. 
  • Able to get work closely with the team, be able to talk the talk and work as a team to get the work done with a great attitude.
  • ​Ability so solve problems - ie, if there is a roadblock getting in the way of a task for you or the project team - you're able to ask the right questions and get answers quickly to keep things moving 
  • Analytical and strong organizational skills, with excellent verbal and written ability
  • Proficiency with related software tools including but not limited to Microsoft Project, Basecamp, Excel, etc.
