Job Description


The Role

Our client is seeking a copywriter to help tell the story of the company's technologies, programs, and products, leading with their product family. As part of a cross-functional working team, you will contribute to project planning and prioritization, take on writing tasks working alongside a design resource, and present your work jointly to the team. As a nimble writer, you may be called upon to craft emails, short-form marketing copy, product feature/benefit copy and occasional in-product communications, all while mapping it against a user journey you deeply understand and help to refine. Regardless of the assignment, you’ll express the personality and tone of our brands.

As a Copywriter you will...

  • You’ll contribute to original concepts for their product, product, technology offerings

  • You’ll help refine the voice and tone of our brands as part of the ongoing evolution of their identity systems

  • You’ll work collaboratively and in the open with a team of other copywriters and visual designers as well as product marketing managers, developers, and UX specialists

  • You’ll conduct benchmarking audits and make recommendations regarding brand tone

  • You’ll participating in the evaluation of consumer research to inform copy iteration

Your Professional Profile

  • 5-7 years experience in copywriting, journalism, content creation or related field

  • Ability to pitch work-in-progress ideas and present final work to a diverse set of partners and draw inspiration from their feedback

  • Experience working collaboratively and in the open using Google Docs/Suite, Slack, Vidyo, and Trello

  • A generalist who is able to shape the direction of where the projects go

  • Experience working in start-ups, agencies with a branding bent (not advertising copywriters), non-profit or mission driven experience

  • Self-motivated to prioritize and manage workload and meet project deadlines. Strong self starter! 

  • Experience publishing your own content in a blog, on a site, or in print

  • Ability to write in a variety of styles with an ear for modern, conversational English
