Job Description

E-Commerce Strategy Manager

The E-commerce Strategy Manager is responsible for delivering a best-in-class online shopping experience. You will play a critical role in driving increased revenue, customer engagement and retention, as well as web store evolution.  You will oversee the e-commerce team, managing daily e-commerce operations, including sales, customer service, administration, communication, logistics, and merchandising. You will lead the design, development and execution of site enhancements, new feature functionality, product launches and promotions.  The E-commerce Strategy Manager will also adhere to utilization metrics via reporting and analytics.

What you’ll do:

  • Conduct market research and testing to identify new opportunities and measures
  • Manage day-to-day operations and UX of our e-commerce environment
  • Develop and optimize differentiated online shopping experiences for unique customer segments, incorporating emerging omni-channel capabilities (e.g. mobile) or based on targeted online marketing campaigns.
  •  Monitor and report performance against KPI objectives and make recommendations
  • Optimize sales, profit and consumer experience metrics in conjunction with creative and marketing teams and driving day to day execution of strategies, promotions, tactics and campaigns.
  • Responsible for leading the execution of e-commerce content, design and QA initiatives
  • Utilize online merchandising tools refine product hierarchy/taxonomy and site navigation
  • Partner with Product and Marketing teams on the management of 3rd party e-commerce channels and ensuring end-to-end performance of new products and product promotions
  • Drive best practices on site by staying up to date on industry trends
  •  Collaborate closely with department leaders to drive feature development and create best-in-class online shopping experience
  • Test design competencies include UX, A/B testing and multivariate testing.

 

Our ideal candidate:

  •  Bachelor’s Degree Required, MBA preferred  
  • You must have digital e-Commerce strategist experience - 5 to 8 years working on digital consumer-facing applications
  • 2 to 4 years in a leadership or mentorship capacity
  • A solid understanding of e-commerce platforms such as Shopify, Magento, or WooCommerce
  • Experience with A/B multivariate testing
  • Expertise and proven success in translating business strategy and analysis into a successful consumer product.
  • A solid understanding of SEO, PPC, SMS, and Social Media Marketing
  • Data driven with a passion for using your analytical skills to drive business recommendations
  • Ability to think creatively and focus on the user experience in order to drive customer engagement
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and discuss technical concepts (at the functional level), schedule tradeoffs and evaluate opportunistic new ideas with technical employees
