Job Description

The Marketing Specialist will be responsible for developing a strategic approach for customer acquisition, cross-sell and marketing communications. This position is very hands on and will be responsible for driving the direction and content as well as the implementation of these campaigns. 

The responsibilities for the Marketing Specialist include but are not limited to: 
• Implementing and managing cross-channel marketing campaigns including customer retention strategies, lead generation, up-sell and cross-sell campaigns and assisting sales initiatives 
• Planning, developing and executing marketing automation campaigns 
• Writing all types of direct response materials including print (self-mailers, postcards, letters, etc) and digital (emails, landing pages, websites, etc) and other content-based marketing 
• Tracking and reporting on all campaign results 
• Delivering sales support materials including one-pagers, guides and email templates 
• Working with in-house lists for segmentation for both lead generation and customer cross-sell opportunities 
• Identify, analyze and manage event requests for viability and then report to stakeholders 
• Coordinate the planning and logistics of tradeshows, workshops and events including but not limited to equipment and space reservations, logistics, delivery of print and display materials, etc. 
• Ordering of all promotional items for events and conferences 
• Working cooperatively with various vendors 

Education/Prior Experience: 
• Bachelor’s Degree required in Marketing, Communications, or similar field 
• 5 years marketing experience including the managing of events 
• Software company and/or B2B industry experience preferred 

• Significant experience in writing strong, succinct copy (must provide samples) 
• Solid project management/organizational skills 
• Flexibility to handle multiple projects at one time 
• Good eye for detail, design and consistency 
• Focus on results that drive revenue and improve ROI 
• Demonstrates initiative with good communication and interpersonal skills to interact with colleagues, cross-functional teams and third parties. 
• Proficient in a Windows-based environment including Microsoft Office (Word and Excel -- Access a plus) 
• Experience with Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop preferred 
• Knowledge of Pardot marketing automation platform a plus 
• Basic HTML knowledge a plus
