We are excited to be helping a fabulous fashion client find an experienced UX Writer with a strong command of Queen’s English …

This assignment is 3-months, 40 hours/per week and is on-site in SF.

Here’s what you’d be up to day-to-day:

  • Localize user-interface copy across all of our digital properties, including both our website and our mobile application, with an eye toward culturally relevant yet clear and concise on-brand messaging that spurs customers to action.
  • Collaborate with the in-house Product/UX and Copy teams, and cross-functionally with the Marketing organization, to generate a unified and UK-relevant brand voice and tone, and, importantly, a seamless customer experience. 
  • Work with Lead Copywriters and Product Owners to develop a UK specific style and grammar guide, one that honors our current Brand Voice but adapts it as necessary for cultural relevance in the UK. 
  • Partner with the UX team to user-test localization efforts, continually iterating and adapting efforts to ensure rapid, culturally-specific apprehension. 
  • Demonstrate highly conceptual thinking while participating in brainstorms, collaborating with peers to find strategic and performance-driven solutions to creative challenges. 
  • Take ownership of briefs and answer them to a high standard. 
  • Work on multiple projects concurrently, ensuring deliverables are achieved on time, while maintaining the highest quality.
  • Clearly, concisely, and effectively express your POV while presenting work to directors and executives in an composed and engaging manner. 
  • Take and give feedback positively, with the ability to execute assets that meet all business needs. 

Here’s what we need you to have:

  • 4+ years experience in technical / product copywriting. Experience writing for fashion or retail brands a strong plus!
  • A talent for translating a company’s brand voice into conversational, concise copy for user interfaces and digital products; demonstrated understanding of mobile copywriting and usage patterns.
  • Deep familiarity with British English.
  • A portfolio demonstrating excellence in UX/Product copywriting for UK brands and companies. 
  • Ability to understand and implement brand strategy effectively and work closely with product and marketing teams to ensure a seamless experience.
  • Ability to write for many audiences including women, plus, maternity, and men, helping to educate our service in the specific voice & tone across all platforms.
  • Experience incorporating user research insights into your work.
  • Proven ability to prioritize copy changes, assessing what is critical for a successful launch versus nice to have.
  • Fluent understanding of digital trends and best practices. 
  • Solution-oriented attitude in addressing day-to-day challenges.
