Job Description

Amazing opportunity for an experienced Digital Creative Director, with a foundation in Brand Design and a passion for leading teams, to join a brand and design agency in Portland. In this role you will lead and inspire a team of digital designers to create and build sites that are not only visually sound, but also provide business solutions for both B2C and B2B clients. In order to qualify for this position, you must have hands-on experience managing teams, creating frameworks for digital brand design, ability to work with clients, agency partners, and key members across an organization.

What You’ll Do: 
● Lead the creative team and shoulder accountability for quality of creative work product from conception to delivery 
● Lead creative strategy as well as execution, to ensure clients' highest level needs are addressed 
● Have a point of view and always bring fresh perspectives, while maintaining an open and curious mindset 
● Engage with clients directly inspiring stronger work through honest, productive, and solution oriented communication. 
● Work with leadership and functional teams to continuously elevate the level of creative work product 
● Keep projects driving forward by providing needed analysis, perspective, and clarity that keeps the team motivated toward positive outcomes 
● Partner with digital-focused team members to innovate and pioneer new practices for more efficiency and better end results 
● Be a voice for thought leadership within the company and through our marketing team’s PR efforts 
● Engage with and foster our creative team to increase accountability, ownership, and collaboration while decreasing anything that contributes to mediocrity 
● Proactively mentor, inspire, and motivate our creative team by creating a nurturing and collaborative yet rigorously collaborative environment 
● Lead inspiring internal design reviews and command the room with confident story-telling in client presentations                                    
● Support sales and client acquisition efforts 
● Do great work and be great to work with 

What You’ll Bring: 
● 5+ years leading creative product, teams, and projects 
● Significant hands-on digital-focused design background, with demonstrated understanding of UX, brand and content strategy 
● Extraordinary communication skills, both verbal and written - you’re not just a smooth talker, you’re a great communicator 
● A strong portfolio of digital and brand work that has a story and delivers results for clients that have (or aspire to create) world-class brands 
● Magnetic presentation skills for strategic, creative and brand deliverables 
● Strong client-facing listening and consulting skills 
● A collaborative, outcome-oriented, ego-free leadership style 
● A work ethic and drive for excellence that are strangely at odds with your otherwise disarming personality - you take your work incredibly seriously, but yourself not so much 
● Ability to conceptualize and execute projects, with strong bias for action and ability to prioritize and meet deadlines 
● Strong emotional intelligence and strategic assessment skills
