Our client, a software company headquartered in Cambridge, MA is looking for a talented Instructional Designer to join their team! This client helps businesses gain greater insight into their performance, achieve higher levels of productivity and find new sources of competitive advantage.
Their training team is adding an Instructional Designer to the team who will be designing and developing instructional material and assessments to support our eLearning and classroom client training resources and certification program. These materials support and enable long term customer success. Clients access this content on the company's proprietary LMS.
The ideal candidate will:
Apply current research and theory to the practice of needs analysis, instructional design, project management, and course development and evaluation skills.
Demonstrate solid skills in the use of standard authoring tools and instructional technology to design and develop dynamic and engaging web and classroom based learning and assessments.
Work as directed to develop entry and advanced level courses for external customer audience.
Work cross functionally with key subject matter experts to determine the objectives and method of delivery.
Process oriented and logical thinker. Likes to puzzle, make and build things.
Support processes to improve team efficiency and productivity.
Exhibit problem solving skills
Software training experience
Experience developing assessments for online training and certification
Strong technical communication and writing
Proven track record applying instructional design concepts and principles to enhance learning experience
Course development experience leveraging multimedia including animation, audio and video
Technical acumen and ability to understand and communicate complex concepts quickly and accurately
High attention to detail
Comfortable working in a high growth environment with the ability to prioritize, schedule and meet deadlines
Ability to quickly learn internal technology
Customer user experience and visual design skills
Technology you should know:
Experience with Adobe Captivate and Camtasia, and other standard training authoring and development tools is needed
