Our client, a leading provider of personalized travel recommendations and targeted travel content, is looking for a skilled Front End Developer to join their team on a permanent basis! 

Start Date: as soon as the right fit is found

Duration: Permanent I Direct Hire Opportunity

Location: Kendall Square [Cambridge, MA]

Must Haves: 

+ solid experience with HTML, CSS and a little bit of JavaScript

+ previous experience working with responsive websites / mobile / applications

Client Description:

The responsibilities of the Front End Developers are to translate UI/UX design wireframes and/or prototypes to actual code that will increase user engagement and help realize Hopjump’s business goals.  You will work with the UI/UX designer and bridge the gap between graphical design and technical implementation, taking an active role on both sides and defining how Hopjump products look as well as how they work. Ultimately, an ideal candidate will be able to align development activities with business objectives to ensure consistent and predictable delivery of valuable new features.


  • Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience
  • Strong handwritten HTML, CSS/SASS/SCSS
  • Working knowledge of front end frameworks and responsive/mobile first design principles
  • Working knowledge of browser testing and debugging
  • GIT experience or other version control system
  • A passion for personal growth and a demonstrated ability to learn quickly


  • Experience with the technologies commonly used in our environment is a plus, but not strictly required. Some examples are: Rails, JavaScript (Coffeescript), PostgreSQL, GitHub, HAML, ERB and many more.
  • Interactive Design skills (web design, user interface, HTML emails)
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (mostly photoshop)
  • Wireframing/Prototyping skills (think Balsamiq, Sketch, Adobe XD or any of the other tools available)
  • Email Template Creation
  • Agile/Scrum experience
