The Content Marketer/Copywriter leads the development and delivery of strategically targeted content across a variety of communications channels, with a heavy focus on producing content for digital channels that deliver audience engagement. 

 

Responsibilities: 

• Responsible for delivering content via website copy, video scripts, consumer education material, e-mail copy and more for both digital and print platforms 

• Translate business goals into meaningful, engaging online conversations with customers and business partners 

• Support Creative Director in strategy development as well as the creation of the editorial calendar 

• Ensure all content developed is audience-centric and aligns with our brand personality and voice, and is optimized for search and social promotion 

• Be proactive, able to generate ideas, juggle multiple projects/assignments, pay close attention to detail, and meet short turnarounds and deadlines as needed 

• Collaborate with designers, writers, editors and internal customers to brainstorm ideas, create content, and build a messaging strategy for any given project 

• Collaborate with translation team as well as the legal department to ensure content is compliant 

• Work closely with our Marketing team to ensure content is aligned with marketing and social media campaigns and initiatives 

• Keep up-to-date with best practices in content marketing, social media trends, web usability, web design, and business/industry trends 

• Play an integral part in the quality control process, ensuring corporate style and enterprise brand standards are upheld 

• Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned 

Qualifications: 

• Post-secondary school education, preferably in journalism or marketing 

• 5+ years of related work experience, either in a content marketing or editorial environment 

• Excellent writing skills are a must, with the ability to adapt to our own brand style (writing samples will be required) 

• Exceptional organizational and research skills 

• Strong editing and proofing skills 

• Effective relationship builder with the ability to work well at all levels of an organization 

• Ability to translate complex information into customer-friendly copy 

• Ability to deliver idea-driven copy that is brief and on schedule
