Job Description

The Web Designer/Developer will be responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and developing targeted and compelling online pages using HTML5, JavaScript, and XML. the Web Designer/Developer will also be responsible for working with programmers to create and maintain a dynamic web site. The Web Designer/Developer will be responsible for website graphic layout and page design and functionality, daily updates to the website, answering inquiries sent to the Webmaster, and ensuring quality of all services, tools, and functionality. 

Job duties: 
- Manage multiple small to large scale web projects with varying deadlines; monitor day to day activities of each project and coordinating and completing projects within established time frame. 
- Maintain backup and recovery mechanism for all sites. 
- Manage all editorial content and develop all web pages; check all links and graphics to make sure they are working properly. 
- Develop JavaScript and JSP’s that utilize various widgets (e.g. buttons, pull down lists, etc.). Must utilize the color theory to define an effective site color scheme, to build an effective web site with respect to navigation. Must have artistic flair with respect to application design.

Requirements:

Education & Experience: 
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent, relevant experience required. 
- Website development experience including graphical user interface programs, editing and overall web site maintenance. 
- Knowledge of IIS. Internet Information Services. IIS supports HTTP, HTTPS, FTP, FTPS, SMTP and NNTP. 

Technical/Functional Skills: 

- Must have strong knowlege of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript
- Must have knowledge of running mirrored websites and FTP. Must understand web application development with respect to object-oriented systems (particularly Java). 
- Must be able to set and follow deadlines and self-manage projects.
