Our higher education client is searching for an excellent Communications Specialist who will develop marketing, advertising, and/or public relations communications. This individual will act as interim department leader. reporting to the Dean of the Law School. Manage a department of 5 responsible for external public and media relations, editorial communications and marketing, and website content and front-end development. Manages the schools messaging system and brand, employing the latest digital communications tools to enhance brand recognition and reputation. Works with key administrative units and the University public relations team to identify and execute proactive and opportunistic communications. Drafts written communications, including speeches, remarks, and letters.
Masters degree in communications and/or marketing preferred. Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience required, with some experience in higher education preferred. Superior communications, writing, and interpersonal skills are required. Proven experience leading a team, including the ability to manage and motivate staff is required. Must have knowledge of current technology and application of digital and social media communications strategies.
SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday 9am-5pm - Hours may vary from 20-40 hours per week
