In this role, the Content Marketing Designer will apply his/her skills and experience in providing consistent design across all delivery mediums including print, web, mobile, video or experiential media. Essential Job Responsibilities The core responsibilities of this role include the following:
Leads the conceptualization and design of marketing brochures, advertisements, PowerPoint presentations, digital imagery and other items to promote the brand and its products/services.
Creates original graphics and icons for use on the client website and on client collateral.
Creates, collects and maintains stock art files; and archives all collateral and photo files.
Regularly updates photo files to ensure that we have current and high-quality color photos of key sources.
Ensures that all client communication and marketing materials are consistent with client branding principles.
Ensures that deadline are met and that content designs are effective and creative.
Remains up-to-date with the latest design trends and software updates by regularly engaging with the creative design community by actively reading blogs, periodicals, participating in seminars, online communities and staying involved with design organizations.
Assists with other projects on an as-needed-basis. Digital Content Delivery Leads the conceptualization and production of videos and multi-media content that promotes the organization and delivers important messages to the electrophysiology community.
Collects, edits, and organizes user-generated video and multi-media content to create engaging and effective user experiences.
Designs supporting digital content including text, images, video, audio, and multimedia files for the website, e-blasts and social media that are consistent with client's brand.
Works with content owners to understand business requirements (desired conversions); creates user-centric design solutions that meet the needs of the content owners.
Advises content owners to determine which/how much content is appropriate and best format for content (e.g., HTML page, plain PDF or page-turner PDF) regarding user experience, findability, and SEO.
Ensures relevant content is cross-linked and prepared for multiple instance usage. Writes headings, links text, and segues that make sense to users and advance SEO efforts.
Formats and optimizes photographs and graphics submitted for use on the website.
Designs systemic solutions to allow content contributors to populate web pages with content easily; while effectively maintaining design integrity.
Ensures that content posted to the website adheres to format, file size, and filename guidelines, and that security settings are appropriately set.
Provides thorough testing and quality assurance to all work rendered. Tests web pages for appearance and functionality in different browsers and at different resolutions.
With the Web Site Manager, plans and conducts testing to identify user experience flaws or to resolve conflicting design approaches. Ensures content is edited with SEO in mind to achieve highest possible rankings in search engines.
Documents procedures and processes.
Other duties as assigned. Position Requirements Education and Experience A bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications or related discipline. Four to six years’ graphic design work, and/or digital video and multimedia production.
Experience with web and digital marketing. 2-3 years’ experience in managing projects. Experience in coordinating multiple projects simultaneously.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Working knowledge of website development, offset prepress, the printing process, basic video and multi-media production and scheduling. Strong skills in the Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator) required. Technical layout skills should include but are not limited to, typographic specification and image manipulation.
Outstanding proofreading ability and strong knowledge of the publications production process.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Knowledge of advanced functions in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel expected, experience with Informz preferred.
Knowledge of color management for print and web, image manipulation and adjustment, and color correction.
Experience using Adobe Premiere / Final Cut Pro / IMovie Experience using Adobe After Effects (Basic) Experience with Social Media Platforms and their respective participants (Twitter, Facebook YouTube, LinkedIn, Google+, Blogs, HootSuite. Basic HTML and an understanding of CSS.
Experience with a content management system (CMS) a plus Strong analytical skills. Ability to receive instruction from supervisor and prioritize responsibilities.
Excellent attention to detail and good follow through, including proactive status updates and communication with team members.
