Design Director

Salary - £55K-£65K

Location - Central London

Start Date - ASAP/Notice Period

Role Description

Our client are looking for a sophisticated Design Director to work closely with the current Creative Director, leading the Design team and assist in producing impactful design solutions. The role will involve overseeing and mentoring less senior members of the team and assisting with design elements that leave the studio. Part of the chosen candidates responsibility will also be managing client relationships, pitching and selling in ideas that will ultimately build the agency’s presence within the industry. You will assume full responsibility for the day-to-day design projects within the studio, overseeing all elements and projects. Once pitches and projects are completed, you will be a crucial part of the team responsible for delivering presentations to current and prospective clients, leading and contributing.

Company culture is an important part of the day-to-day within the agency and as Design Director it will be part of your responsibility to build and maintain a happy and healthy working environment for all colleagues and partners.

 

Skills & Experience

Our client are looking for an experienced creative professional to join them as Design Director, someone with a vast understanding of the creative industry and proven experience answering client briefs at the highest level. They require a top professional comfortable working in a fast paced environment across multiple clients at once.

Other skills include:

  • Excellent knowledge of Adobe CS
  • Proven team leadership experience
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • A confident individual
  • Happy to provide detailed constructive criticism to other team members
  • A strategic mindset that approaches briefs in an innovative way
