Job Description

One of my fashion clients is looking for a Digital Designer that will be working with Production work as well. 

Creative Responsibilities/Objectives - 70% of time 
- Explore trends and competitive landscape and incorporate appropriate use of color, type, tone and editorial style in digital design standards 
- Understand brand/visual style guides to ensure integration across channels and overall brand consistency 
- Participate and contribute to productive brainstorming sessions that result in concrete ideas for execution 
- Develop an awareness of customer/product-specific challenges and differences and opportunities 
- Collaborate with all applicable teams to create and produce compelling digital solutions across all channels 

Team Responsibilities/Objectives - 20% of time 
- Support corporate culture, values and mission 
- Contribute to environment that is efficient, professional, innovative, and team oriented 
- Communicate and respond to team members in a professional manner and contribute to environment that is efficient, proactive, and team oriented 
- Share expertise and inspiration with teams 

Process Responsibilities/Objectives - 5% of time 
- Utilize workflow process and technology to ensure quality delivery of work product on an ongoing basis 
- Communicate obstacles and improvement opportunities within workflow processes to the (Sr.) Creative Manager 
- Prioritize tasks to meet deadlines 
- Perform quality-assurance procedures on all weekly deliverables as defined by workflow process 
- Ensure all electronic files are built responsibly (smallest size, proper naming conventions, error free), and achieve error-free work 

- Communicate and respond to business partners in a professional manner 
- Collaborate with marketing, merchandising and buying teams to leverage opportunities and attributes of different customer segments and product groups 
- Consult with business partners and marketing/merchandise teams on creative options 

- Performance Measures/Outcomes (example: key metrics, turnover, retention stats, etc.) 
- Achieves project deadlines as evaluated on a quarterly and yearly basis 
- Reduces cycle time by ensuring delivery of any necessary design specification documentation, files and user assets to development team that are on brand and ensures flawless integration with back-end technology

Bachelor of Fine Arts degree required with emphasis on interactive design, graphic design or communications

Strong project and time-management skills and ability to adjust to shifting business needs/priorities 
Excellent design sense and ability to execute design strategy 

Experience – level or related/unrelated work experience, number of years in prior jobs 
2+ years of web design experience in: 
creating interactive solutions based on existing strategies, concepts, templates and brand guidelines 
collaborating with design teams 
communicating with business partners 
design and coding/development processes and standard cycle-times for interactive communications 

Competencies – technical or other skills such as position specific software, financial skills, leadership, team building, training 
Superior knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite 
Understanding of components, cycle times, production and distribution requirements of digital creative deliverables
