AQUENT is seeking a Project Manager for one of our COOLEST clients in Northern, VA near Tyson's.
This Client's Commercial Business Team is driving to revolutionize the way we serve our customers’ business needs. We are looking for capable change agents that thrive on driving teams to reach new levels of performance and collaboration. Our project managers must have a fun and energetic personality with a “make it happen” attitude. If you are results driven, customer focused and analytically oriented we want you to join our team. You will help drive the implementation of the firm’s business banking strategy, foster collaboration throughout the product and sales teams, and make banking better for our Business customers.
•Align strategic priorities, goals and objectives with efficient project execution
•Incorporate Design Thinking principles to ensure the customer’s needs are addressed in the final product
•Apply lean techniques, agile and other project management methodologies to deliver in a rapid, dynamic, and fast-paced environment
•Utilize strong vertical and horizontal communication skills to provide clear, concise communication and influence Business Banking Leadership and project teams
•Leverage problem solving and influencing skills to ensure projects deliver on intent
•Effectively manage matrixed resources from multiple groups to ensure projects can be accurately tracked, managed, documented and delivered
•Identify gaps in our project management processes and provide recommendations to improve them
Bachelor’s Degree or military experience
At least two years of project or product management experience
•Masters / MBA degree ‘
•Proactive. Takes initiative, drives for clarity, results-oriented, relentless and accountable
•Application of analytics to implement strategies and measure success
•Customer driven with the ability to empathize with their needs
•Experience using Design Thinking principles
•5 or more years of project or product management experience
•PMP, Lean, Agile or Six Sigma certification
•Proven communication and collaboration skills
•Proven problem solving and influencing
-Project Manager with Product manager skills sets.
-Will not own a product
-Almost like a business analyst skill set
-This person will be a contributor
-Has worked with agile teams as a scrum master or product owner in the past
-Experience managing cross functional teams
-Comfortable coaching others (eventually will be coaching)
-Ability to overcome resistance
