We're looking for a Sr UXA for one our of clients in Plano. The Sr UXA must have a solid user experience background and the ability to solve complex UX problems. Must be able to provide a portfolio or work samples to show your UX approach (wireframes, prototypes, etc..)
90 day contract-to-hire through Vitamin T. Full benefits and weekly pay offered during the contract period.
The position is for an experienced UXA having a rich portfolio of web and mobile work products. This role works in conjunction with the Senior User Experience designer and dedicated Product manager and sets the precedent for consistently raising the standards of our digital experiences.
This position requires a strong background in UXA and IX design. The Senior UXA will need to aggressively manage a portfolio of initiatives. This role requires excellent written and oral communication skills, and a highly collaborative nature. The ideal candidate has the ability to provide hands-on assistance to the team in various areas according to his/her skill set and expertise, while also still being able to actively collaborate with the team.
Portfolio presentation is expected, including URLs or samples that reflect work.
Delivers high quality work on time and within budget while showcasing important skills such as collaboration, presentation, strategy, facilitation and leadership
Leads the creation of site maps, concept diagrams, user personas, user scenarios, wireframes, flows, site inventory, template guidelines and annotated comps, etc.
Hosts and/or mediates usability testing on-site
Leverages metrics, optimization, qualitative and quantitative research to inform and validate architectural decisions
Translates market requirements, user needs, and input from cross- functional teams into design solutions.
Communicates a clear vision of best-in-class designs
Conceptualizes and presents interactive mobile wireframe applications to project stakeholders.
Takes ideas from concept to reality by embracing requirements and working with other members of the team to design what is possible within the constraints of the project
Thinks holistically about the entire brand and user experience, not just projects or individual capabilities
Is a thought and industry leader who inspires others by their work
Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s or specialized degree preferred
7+ years' experience in Interaction Design, Information Architecture and User Experience positions working for significant brands in-house or on the agency side
Proven success designing world-class, branded e-commerce and transactional experiences
Proven success designing world class mobile experiences (both native app and responsive/adaptive design in browser)
Phenomenal ability to anticipate and design for user needs by incorporating research, strategy and analytics
Mastery of UX Design Principles and Interaction deliverables including rapid prototyping, site maps, concept diagrams, user personas, user scenarios, wireframes, flows, site inventory, template guidelines, usability testing, and annotated comps
Awareness of multimedia platforms and devices. Gamification experience is a plus
Social interaction design a plus, particularly around profiles and user generated content and engagement.
Working experience with prototyping tools such as OmniGraffle, Visio, Axure, Balsamiq, Fireworks, Sketch. InVision, Photoshop, Illustrator
Experience in the travel/hospitality industry is a plus but is not essential
Portfolio presentation is expected, including URLs or samples that reflect candidate’s work
Experience with the agile development methodology and ability to work in a fast-paced environment with aggressive development schedules
Excellent visual/verbal communicator with strong presentation skills
