Vitamin of the Week: Tucker Jackson (San Francisco)

Tucker Jackson

Tucker takes to heart Teddy Roosevelt’s motto, “Speak softly and carry a big stick,” though he believes that stick should only be used for hiking.

As Director of Business Development for our San Francisco office, most days you’ll find him meeting with clients around the city to get them the best freelance creatives in the Bay!

Find out a bit more about this Vitamin T Rough Rider via his answers to our 7 Quick Questions.

  1. What made you want to work at Vitamin T? And what do you love most about working here? When I first met the SF regional director, Monica Bloom, I knew I wanted to work here. Talking with her I could just feel the passion she had for Vitamin T. It made me want to start that day! I love working with my colleagues here to help find talent their dream jobs. There is nothing better than seeing someone after you've found them their perfect gig!

  2. What do you love about working with creative talent? The great thing about creative talent is how unique each one is. I love looking at their portfolios and seeing all the different work they've done. That’s why I try to meet every creative talent I can.

  3. Who is your creative or digital hero? Shigeru Miyamoto. He created Super Mario Bros. Enough said!

  4. What app do you use regularly that provides great user experience? Bleacher Report. I am a huge sports fan and they give me live updates on the most important news for each of my teams here in the Bay Area (and on hundreds of teams and sports around the world). It's very user friendly and easy to navigate. Can’t live without it!

  5. Best creative/digital event in your city? An Event Apart. They have amazing speakers (Mike Monteiro from Mule Design, Jared Spool, Ethan Marcotte, the guy coined the phrase “Responsive Design”). If you do anything in digital, this should be your go-to conference.

  6. In your job, what’s been your favorite moment or biggest joy? Last year our team worked really hard to place the VP of Digital Design at a huge media channel. It took a long time, but we found the perfect fit! It was an awesome feeling when it happened.

  7. What’s your favorite brand and why? Bonobos. Best fitting men’s clothing ever. They make the best clothes and they market their product extremely well, from their huge presence on social to their great content strategy. They’ve come a long way from a little online store that sells pants.
