In your job, what’s been your favorite moment or biggest joy? When a talent started to tear up during an interview. At first I was worried, but then they followed up by saying that they now know what it feels like to have full support for their "unconventional" career path, because that’s what they were born to do. That takes the cake. By far the best moment!!
Best creative/digital event in your city? LA Tech Happy Hour. Who doesn't love a good happy hour, while chitchatting about all things tech! Their events bring in talent and clients from all over LA. The last event I went to for LA Tech Happy Hour had 3 live bands and over 750 people attending. It was amazing!
What’s the BEST thing someone can do when looking for a job? Be confident! I can help guide you through the interview process. I can even coordinate the interview process with our clients. I can review your resume to make it the best it can be. But the one thing I cannot do is be with you during your interview. This is the pivotal time for people to sell themselves. Knowing your worth and potential positive impact you can have on a company—and how to get that across to your interviewers—is something no one can teach.
What made you want to work at Vitamin T? And what do you love most about working here? The fact that we help find people work is extremely fulfilling. I think Vitamin T is a leader in this industry because they truly care for both their internal and external staff as well as their clients. What I love most about working here is that I get to work alongside some amazing people. Working collaboratively, laughing with my teammates, and meeting new creatives who are leading the way in digital design; it’s the people who make my job so much fun.
What app do you use regularly that provides great user experience? This is an easy one! Yelp. The fact that I can find anything and everything from my location, has saved me a ton of time. Especially when I first moved to LA. It is great for traveling to a new city and getting honest reviews on where to eat, what to see, and what to do!
What’s your favorite brand and why? Shinola, Detroit. Hometown designers making an impact on a city that needs to be recognized again, is so needed by the people who live there.
Who is your creative or digital hero? Jonathan "Jony" Ives, Apple's Senior Vice President of Design. He is the guru of powerful design. He has changed the way we see electronics and has made Apple the leader in creating intuitive, modern necessities that we use everyday.
