For many people, SoLoMoCo sounds like a wacky offshoot of the slow-food movement. Or a part of NYC that’s so incredibly hip that even the people living there had no idea it existed.
Sadly, it’s neither. Sorry.
It’s actually the intersection of Social, Location, Mobile, and Commerce. Let’s just call it the spot where all the cool kids hang out - and thus, the spot where all the marketers want to be hanging out, too, and where many startups are off to a great “start”. Think Urban Spoon meets Instagram meets Groupon.
