How to Explain UX to Other Designers

Source: Thomas Gläser

Way back in 2006, Dan Saffer drew a Venn diagram called The Disciplines of User Experience Design for his book Designing for Interaction. Updated in 2009 for the second edition of his book, it’s now been given new life in this beautiful makeover by designer Thomas Gläser.

It’s a great way to show how UX relates to the other design disciplines as well as seemingly unrelated ones (Audio Engineering, Sound Design).

Without a doubt, we think this is going to turn out to be one of the longest lived Venn diagrams in the 21st century.

And for good reason.

Take a look and let us know what you think!
