It’s a new month, which means it’s time for another desktop wallpaper download!

Our artwork for May is Erin Starks’ wonderful “Cherry Cherry”.

It’s never too early for cherries, right?

Erin told us the inspiration for her piece came while designing a poster for a non-profit event which supported music education. She had created a small element based on one of the bands performing at the event, Cherry Cherry. That tiny element went on to become the iconic cover of our 2016 calendar. Pretty awesome, huh?

Aside from being an accomplished art director and designer, she’s incredibly passionate about music and has been an active voting member of The Recording Academy (GRAMMYs/Latin GRAMMYs) for 9 years. Erin was educated at Ringling College of Art & Design and resides in the seaside town of Jupiter, along the Atlantic coast of southeast Florida.

She counts among her inspirations Ty Wilson, Tim Burton, Wassily Kandinsky, Mary Blair, and LeRoy Neiman.

If you love her piece and would like to see it for longer than the month of May, it’s also available printed on a variety of items at Have A Nice Daisy a shop created to honor the memory of her late sister, Sherri.

Thanks once again to Erin and all the other talented artists who contributed work to our 2016 calendar!
