We were excited to have him in our London office for the very first Morning Vitamins event, a series of talks and interactive discussions aimed at creatives who need to start their days off right. He’s got plenty of great advice and practical tips on how to inspire and motivate your own team.


Making time for the individual is a simple yet effective way to motivate each member of your team. Making time every day to speak to each member of staff and ascertain their mood will make them feel special and put them in a positive mind frame for the day. Being an available point of contact for your team will make them feel that everyone is equally valued and appreciated within the business. It’s important to monitor the happiness of your team – a competitive salary alone does not equate to job satisfaction and it’s important to ensure everyone feels that they are a valued member of the team. Be somebody they want to work for. Gaining your employees’ genuine trust and loyalty will inevitably improve their motivation to perform.


Making a difference can help to motivate yourself and others. In addition to taking care of your team, engaging with the community will add enormous value to your business. Getting involved in charity initiatives can set you apart from your competitors. Additionally, community work demonstrates a responsibility to others and reflects well on any business, marking it as a centre of influence in the area. This can be a source of inspiration for both the leader and their team, effectively motivating the motivator.
