We are so thankful to have received support from the Aquent community to help victims of Hurricane Harvey through direct contributions received from our staff and talent, which we are continuing to match as we receive them. Our Houston area clients have been incredible partners, many offering to pay our talent for missed work opportunities and allowing remote work to happen whenever possible.
The generosity of our Aquent family is astounding, and as an organization who believes in taking care of people, we know that we’re lucky to be surrounded by caring and generous human beings.
To further support the victims of disasters, including Hurricane Harvey and Hurricane Irma, Aquent is pledging $100,000 to our Aquent Disaster Relief Fund. This fund will not only continue to provide support for Hurricane Harvey, but also for Hurricane Irma, which just hit Florida coasts and the Southeast United States this weekend. While residents and officials are still calculating damages, many remain without power at this time.
In addition to direct contributions to our own staff and talent, Aquent will continue match any donation you make to the American Red Cross dollar for dollar. In addition, we will be providing funds directly to our affected staff and talent and working with our clients to ensure everyone is safe.
Should you wish to contribute to the Aquent Disaster Relief Fund, you can do so in a couple of ways:
- If you are Aquent / Vitamin T talent in North America, you can request a one-time payroll deduction by sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org with your name, address, phone number and donation amount. If you have a preference for which disaster you wish your donation to go to, please note that as well.
- If you have already or would like to donate directly to the American Red Cross to support victims of these disasters, then please do so and simply forward the email confirmation of your donation to email@example.com
We know that any disaster is disruptive to local and global communities, where lives and livelihoods are at stake, and we want to do what we can to help. We appreciate your help to do so and wish for speedy recovery for impacted areas and people.
