In case you’ve been living under a rock (not that there’s anything wrong with that), there have been huge developments over the past week on the web standards front. And since AEA is THE networking event to stay on top of web standards trends, we’re expecting some extra lively presentations that have a lot to say about the recent HTML5 vs. Flash news:
And even more exciting, it was just announced yesterday that An Event Apart founder, Jeffery Zeldman will be the FIRST EVER inductee to the SXSW Interactive Hall of Fame!
But back to the show...
As usual, this event sold out super quickly (even before the recent HTML5 news). But here’s good news for anyone who loves loves the web: there’s still time to join in the fun for the A Day Apart workshop on December 14th.
During that full-day session, mobile expert Luke Wroblewski will lead an in-depth exploration of designing for the mobile web—the different devices, the changed interaction patterns, the constraints and opportunities inherent in mobile design. We can only imagine he might mention the power of HTML5 once or twice and give you some real world tips on how to improve your own skills on the mobile web. (spoiler: he always does that.)
Admission to A Day Apart also gets you access to all the social events, not that we’re saying you should just go for those because they’re really fun or anything. Just mentioning it...
Of course, our Vitamin T team be there in full force when you’re ready to pick up cool swag, register to for our iPod Touch drawing, and get the latest on the interactive market from our agents. So stop by our table and say “Hi!” (or some other equally positive greeting).
If you can’t make it to this event, don’t fret. We’re sponsoring all 7 cities for An Event Apart 2012, which is just around the proverbial corner.
You should start planning now.
We probably don’t need to remind you, but here you go anyway: These events sell out quickly!
