Job Description

Our client, a privately-held manufacturer of natural products, seeks a contract-to-hire full-time Digital Marketing Specialist. The Digital Marketing Specialist is responsible for supporting the Marketing department through maintenance of the company’s digital properties (including website, web store, newsletter, and blog) and developing growth strategies through the use of eCommerce analytics and digital marketing campaigns, in collaboration with the social media team.


Content Management
 Website maintenance (update content as needed, monitor site for issues)
 Blog (Updates per the content calendar)
 Webstore maintenance
 Third-party vendor managements (e.g. hosting agency, annual website subscriptions, social media analytics tools and publishing platforms, etc.)
 Budget management
 Special projects

Growing Digital Presence
Data analysis: Create strategy based on analytics and user data. Measure and report performance of all digital marketing campaigns, and assess against goals, identify trends and insights, optimize spend and performance based on insights, brainstorm new and creative growth strategies
Email Marketing (manage contacts lists, templates, formatting, scheduling)
Social Media Marketing (work with social media team to develop social and digital ad campaigns)
 Content Marketing (work with content providers to format and update blog and website)
 Search Engine Optimizations: (SEO, optimizing site content for organic earned search)
 Search Engine Marketing (SEM, paying for clicks, e.g. Google’s AdWords)
 Display advertising: (Banner ad campaigns and similar)
 Mobile Marketing
 E-comm+Site Performance/Conversions: Plan, execute, and measure experiments and conversion tests; Collaborate with internal teams to create landing pages and optimize user experience; Utilize strong analytical ability to evaluate end-to-end customer experience across multiple channels and customer touch points; Instrument conversion points and optimize user funnels; Develop Loyalty Program, Product Promotions/Sales, etc.
 Review new technologies and keep the company at the forefront of developments in digital marketing.

Minimum: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with a concentration or major coursework in E-commerce, Web development, Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Information Systems or similar field that would enable the incumbent to perform the essential job functions in a manner that enhances the general purpose of the position, plus at least two years performing the types of duties described herein in a comparable capacity within the natural products industry.

Any combination of educational and work experience that would be equivalent to the stated minimum requirements would qualify for consideration of this position.

 Excellent written and verbal communication skills
 Ability to multi-task in an efficient, thorough, and prioritized manner
 Familiar with third-party social analytics: Google analytics, Google Ad-words
 Excellent knowledge of blogging/web platforms (Wordpress), e-commerce platforms (Magneto), HTML
 Good working knowledge and intermediate/advanced use of Adobe Photoshop and Microsoft Office Suite
 Experience with larger e-tailers e.g. Amazon
 Ability to work quickly, accurately and independently
 Ability to anticipate needs and solve problems
