Our clients UX Design team is looking for a talented Sr. UX Designer with a strong UX portfolio to create intuitive and delightful user experiences. You'll be a driving force behind championing best UI heuristic practices as well as gathering user insights to inspire and inform design decisions.
You'll work closely with fellow UX/graphic designers, management, engineers, and product owners to strategize and support all stages of the product lifecycle.
The right candidate will use critical thinking, best UX practices, and strong technical background to translate requirements, user-centered goals, and analytical user data into high level designs including: wireframes, prototypes, taxonomy diagrams, and functional specifications for our responsive websites, mobile apps, and admin tools.
Establish UX workflow and drive best practices with an eye toward responsive design patterns, localization, scalability, integration and ease if maintenance across a variety of consumer touch points and platforms - web, mobile, eCommerce, admin tools, etc.
Help define user goals, models, taxonomy, and user interfaces for new and existing product features then translate them into wireframes and interactive prototypes.
Perform intuitive UX evaluations, competitive analysis, help facility usability testing, and present recommendations on major projects that involve user experience.
Create, present and deliver user flows, wireframes, prototypes, mockups, process maps, feature lists, and detailed taxonomy overviews, to effectively communicate interaction, user experience and design ideas.
Help develop and evangelize and use cases.
Push innovation both aesthetically and technologically.
UX Design Skills
You have a strong clear and clean visual design sense.
Comfortable developing UX for mobile app platforms, web pages, eCommerce, and admin tools.
Advanced knowledge of the following UXD practices and concepts:
User Centered Design
Highly interactive interfaces (e.d Rich Internet Applications - RIA)
UI Heuristics and Principles
Business and user work flows
Taxonomy and navigation
Use case scenarios
Communicate: Ability to effectively articulate ideas, present to groups' internal and external stakeholders and with supervisor to share progress of work and design
Collaborate: Work within UXD and product teams to see a project through its lifecycle.
Estimate: Ability to estimate project effort required
Multitask: Ability to manage multiple projects at once and oversee development of the user experiences.
Time Management: Manages time wisely across jobs, meets agreed upon deadlines and is accountable and responsible for their work.
Your background will ideally include:
BA or BS in Graphic/Visual Arts, Library and Information Science, Computer Science, Human Computer Interaction, Information Sciences, Marketing, Industrial Design or related experience
6+ years experience as a UX Designer working with complex websites , mobile apps, admin tools, eCommerce experiences, and software.
Advanced knowledge of the following UI design practices and concepts: User Centered Design, Highly Interactive Interfaces, (e.g. Rich Internet Applications - RIA), UI Heuristics and Principles, Responsive Design, Prototyping, Technical writing, Business and user work flows, Logical information organization and navigation, use case scenarios.
Information Architecture experience including ability to define and drive processes a plus.
Comfort with working in both Agile Development and waterfall methodologies.
