Our Client is seeking a Sr. Digital Strategy Consultant (3+ month contract) to define the digital vision, strategy and architects solutions and experiences to address business challenges and deliver on marketing objectives in the online, mobile, and social space. As their Sr. Digital Strategy Consultant, you're a visionary leader who "connects the dots" around business and consumer insights, technology trends, and articulates digital concepts and solutions in a clear and compelling way to clients. You will interface heavily with internal team members and C-level client contacts throughout the digital roadmap and planning process as well as execution. You will lead the development of concepts, roadmaps, and serves as strategy lead on projects of high complexity within a given brand/client or potentially across multiple brands/clients.
Conduct research and trend analysis to extract valuable insights and recommend strategic digital solutions to deliver against business challenges and marketing objectives
Direct the strategy and help define the experience for online and mobile applications, digital, social and shopper/retail promotions, customer engagement platforms, and loyalty marketing programs
Maintains a deep understanding of technology and digital channels to recommend solutions that are relevant, effective, and feasible.
Work closely with the Creative team to develop concepts and campaigns to connect with consumers, motivate behavior, and drive purchase.
Create and deliver compelling presentations to articulate digital concepts and campaigns
Where appropriate, lead the creation diagrams, flows, wireframes or prototypes to help describe the vision for digital solutions
Work closely with Technology, Product, and Producers to detail requirements for digital solutions and campaign integration
Perform analysis of campaign performance, summarize results and key takeaways, and make recommendations to optimize and increase effectiveness
Our is looking for someone with shopper/retail promotions or sweepstakes experience, or loyalty programs.
Also, if you have good "mobile" experience (applications, not media/banners) that's going to be a better fit. Agency experience is always a preference.
Desired Skills & Experience:
10+ years digital marketing, software product marketing and/or management consulting experience with at least 7 years focused exclusively on the digital space
Expert knowledge of digital marketing channels, applications, and technology solutions
Experience with mobile applications, online, social and shopper/retail promotions, or loyalty marketing preferred
Excellent story telling skills and development of executive presentations
Bachelors degree required, MBA a plus
Proven experience leading strategy and digital roadmap projects in a complex business and marketing environment
Ability to work effectively and deliver work with minimal oversight.
Must be able to abstract details from higher-level concepts and frameworks
Ability to review vast amounts of research, synthesize and draw relevant conclusions
Experience in marketing and management consulting (consulting or client-side)
Expert communication and presentation skills; dynamically (persuasively) presenting ideas to clients and prospective clients from VP to C-level.
Must possess a rigorous analytical disciplined approach as well as dynamic, abstract problem solving skills (get to the answer via both "inspiration" and "perspiration")
Strong understanding of user research, user-centered design principles and online and mobile consumer behavior
Must have experience in consumer-driven businesses
Must have a "change agent" attitude; constantly pushing us and our clients to new opportunities, approaches, ideas, perspectives, etc.
Classic management consulting training a plus
