Vitamin of the Week: Naomi Easson (Melbourne, Australia)

Vitamin of the Week:...

Naomi Easson

Naomi has spent the last eight years finding traditional and digital creatives meaningful jobs all over the UK and Australia.

Now as a superpower at Vitamin T Melbourne, she’s out to rid the world of bad design and maddening UX experiences one creative placement at a time!

Hop down under to see her keen answers to our 7 Quick Questions.

  1. Biggest myth about being a recruiter/salesperson/staffing industry? We all wear suits, never call anyone back and take our jobs too seriously. Nope! The reality of a Vitamin T agent is something quite different. We love calling our talent and clients to chat creative projects, we spend our days searching for fantastic folios and learning about new technology, and we only wear a suit if we are going to the races!

  2. Who is your creative or digital hero? Quentin Tarantino! Why? Pulp Fiction, Inglorious Bastards, Django, Death Proof, True Romance, From Dusk Till Dawn.... need I go on? If I was to dive into an alternative universe, I would want it to be styled, directed, and scripted by Tarantino. He has created such epic cinema for so many years that he’s influenced a whole new generation of filmmakers. He’s even in the dictionary.

  3. What app do you use regularly that provides great user experience? Uber. It knows where I am, gives me an estimate on the cost of my ride, provides me with a photo and information about my driver, and—after my journey is over—makes the transaction cashless. From the moment you open the app to the one when you step out of the car, it’s seamless UX!

  4. What made you want to work at Vitamin T? And what do you love most about working here? Vitamin T is an incredibly creative environment that loves its market. The whole company is incredibly into design and the future of digital and advertising. Every day is radically different and our clients all seem to understand what we are all about!

  5. What’s your favorite interview question? “If you were a dinosaur which one would you be?” Only joking! I like to ask people what emerging technologies they have heard about and what they are doing to stay progressive and current in the market place. It not only reveals what they know, but also if they have a passion for what’s going on in the digital realm.

  6. What’s the name of the last book you read? Bert Grimm, A Legend in His Own Time, Vol #2. I cannot get enough of this vintage flash. If I could wake up head-to-toe in artwork by Bert Grimm, I would. The guy has some of the best traditional artwork around. If you are at all into tattoos, tattoo culture, or just need some inspiration, look him up!

  7. As a 5 year old, what did you want to be when you grew up? An ambulance driver!
